I’m honestly not even sure if you could say these books are all that similar…but I am looking for more books that focus mostly on the characters more so than the plot itself. Im looking for more books like these:
    -The Rachel Incident
    -Blue Sisters
    -Maame
    -Adelaide
    -Lessons in Chemistry
    -Wellness
    -The Nix
    -Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow
    -We are the Brennans
    -Really Good, Actually
    -The Half Moon
    -Marrying the Ketchups
    -Anxious People

    Any suggestions? Thanks!

Good list, I liked a lot of these. Here’s some more –
      – I’ve just started The Hypocrite by Jo Hamya I love it, you’ll love it, great small family drama and life.
      – Such a Fun Age
      – I love Sally Rooney so much. Intermezzo is my fave.
      – All fours by Miranda July.
      – Heartburn by Nora Ephron
      – my Brilliant Friend by Elena Ferrante, maybe my favourite book of all time
      – The Paper Palace
      – Where the Crawdads Sing

I love Alan Hollinghurst’s Line of Beauty, one of the best Booker winners ever in my opinion, and great if you liked the Rachel Incident (it’s a bit like this crossed with Saltburn).

Also John Boyne’s Hearts Invisible Furies is fantastic – it’s opening like just steals you away. Masterclass in inter-generational trauma AND joy.

Try Paul Murray’s the Bee Sting – each section is a different family member and his rendering of their POVs is fantastic, each revealing different aspects to the family dynamic in turn.

Ann Patchett’s Tom Lake is a good, tonally light, and easy version of this – perfect for a summer read and relatively short.
