Kindle unlimited can be a little crazy because there are so many options. What I would suggest is to try subscribing to bookbub or hello books newsletter. They are very strict with what ebooks they select so you know you’re getting something good. They show kindle unlimited and books that are temporarily free or reduced. Just choose your favorite genres and you’ll get a daily newsletter with really good ebooks.

I’m reading “The Mountain In The Sea” by Ray Nayler right now. It’s on KU and science fiction (ish? I don’t know, I think it’s like an alternate future type thing? I’m not very far into it yet)
