Recently finished and enjoyed Alias Emma by Ava Glass
Earlier this year read and liked The Innocent by Ian McKewan
Not a spy novel, but also recently read Talented Mr Ripley and thought it was fantastic
What have you liked recently? Anything with an immersive setting, heaping doses of anxiety and a good amount of tension (physical or psychological or both) would do the trick… thanks in advance for your suggestions!

Robert Wilson: The Company of Strangers. Female protagonist, mainly set in Portugal, from WWII up until the end of the Cold War. It’s really good!
