book that had hooked the entire time?

what's a book that had you hooked since the first page? I just recently finished project hail mary by andy weir and I loved it. Personally, the book never felt dull to me, which came as a surprise since it was really science-heavy (well duh, it's science fiction) but I mean this in the sense that it was written in such a witty and casual manner that even the explanation of scientific concepts didn't put me to sleep (shocker).
