I'm 16% (page 86) of the way into Cat's Eye and I'm struggling to feel motivated to read it. Very little has happened up to now and I need to know whether I should continue? I am a strong believer that you don't have to continue reading a book if you're not enjoying it, but I don't want to stop reading if it's about to get really good.
Can anyone advise on whether I should persevere?

It’s well-written and technically “good,” but for some reason, I don’t like it. It got into my head in a dark way and I found it unsettling. Which is odd because none of her other books ever did and Cat’s Eye is the tamest in terms of trauma and mind-fuckery. I’d advise you to switch over to Handmaid’s or the one with the childlike sex robots.
Are you a woman who had troublesome friendships with other girls growing up? If you did, I’d keep reading.
