I'm currently solo travelling where I rarely find the need to socialize. I'm wondering if there are any books where the protagonist realises he/she does not want to partner up and embraces solitude.
If it's philosophical, that would be even better

The colony by Audrey Magee. Surfacing by Margaret Atwood.
Umm… lots of Nabokov books have this vibe. His short stories are particularly thoughtful and often about memories or forgotten moments. His first novel Mary comes to mind.
Autobiography of a Yogi, Walden by Henry David Thoreau
Dear mad’m by Patterson
Walden?
Hmm there are definitely interactions with other people in it, but one of my favourite books ever actually is Eun-jin Jang’s *No One Writes Back* which happens to be about solo travelling! I found it really touching and beautiful, it’s one of those quiet and simple but thought provoking reads that really stays with you over the years. It’s also super underrated but I really recommend it!
