I have an upcoming presentation that requires a book and film pairing where the film is an appropriation of the said book. The book and film should both address a timeless issues (i.e racism, gender inequality, societal classes etc.) but reframed for a new context (e.g Novel: Emma, Film: Clueless) Does anyone have any recommendations?
