I had a killer year of reading last year but this year has been a little lacking.
To give a little context, some of my recent favorites have been 11/22/63, The hearts Invisible Furies, Boy's Life, Project Hail Mary, Fairy Tale, Braiding Sweetgrass, and Demon Copperhead.
I love how books that are nostalgic like 11/22/63 and Boy's Life (as well as IT and The Body) are and I would love something to scratch that itch.
For further context I will be putting my almost 17yo dog down this week and will need a distraction. I do not want a boy and his dog type story, that might be a little much.
So based off of my recent favorites I'd love to hear some suggestions! Thanks in advance!
