Any good books with a friendship/love trope between prey and predator (literally)?

I am referring to "The Fox and the Hound" type books.

I'd prefer if they weren't such short reads and weren't part of sagas, although I don't have that much of a problem with the latter point either.

Note that, although I like them, I'm not looking for comics or manga, but books in the traditional novel format.
