These last few years I've been reading a lot of non-fiction books and I have to say that I've really enjoyed them. I'm almost a bit frustrated that I haven't read more before, as I'm experiencing almost a slight sadness that so many incredible events have happened and I'll only be able to read about a small fraction of those events.
Anyways I really enjoy reading about crazy stories often occupied by great characters like the Endurance by Alfred Landinger. However, reading about a time period, event, scientific discovery etc. by mainly following one influential person like In the court of the red Tsar by Simon Montefiore or American Prometheus by Kai Bird and Martin Sherwin, is also great.
My question is: which non-fiction book about either an event, person or subject would you recommend.
