I'm looking for recommendations for historical books, for example books about the second world war, the Cuban revolution, the Russian revolution or a book that tells the story of a civilization.
It can also be books that take place in historical settings, but the book itself is not about that.

I really enjoyed Four Winds by Kristin Hannah.
It takes place during the Dust Bowl followed by the “great migration” to California
Similar to other works of this genre (like grapes of wrath) but I really liked that it was told from the perspective of a woman
