I’m looking for a book that can help me stop letting other people’s actions impact my emotions so much. I really want to learn how to regulate my feelings better and not take things so personally.
Right now, I’m dealing with a tough situation involving my fiancé’s brother — who’s also one of my best friends. He’s getting back together with his ex, and it’s been really triggering for me emotionally. I tried really hard to be friends with her in the past, but she didn’t want to get close, and now seeing them reconnect brings up a lot of hurt. I still don’t fully understand why it affects me this much, but I know I want to be more in control of how I respond.
If anyone has any book recommendations that helped them with emotional regulation, setting boundaries, or not taking things personally, I’d love to hear them!

Try reading The Four Agreements.
