I'm looking for Cinderella fairytale retellings that are in the romantasy or historical genre (please no modern real life setting, like, I don't want a set in the office sort of story).
I want some non-toxic romantic lead (not a big fan of big bad broody bad boys), a non-naive FMC (or a MMC), soft and cute romance that's not insta-love (or insta-lust), don't mind if it's LGBT+ (no poly though).
I've read "Cinder" by Marissa Meyer, "A Single Thread of Moonlight" by Laura Wood & "So This is Love" by Elizabeth Lim (maybe more, just can't remember at the moment). I know about the existence of "Throne of Glass" by SJM & "An Offer From a Gentleman" by Julia Quinn, so don't recommend them.
Hope you can recommend me some more 😉

Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine is the best Cinderella retelling.
