I’m a huge horror fan but I’ve been getting into literary fiction a lot lately (especially the books on the darker side of it) I just finished The Girls by Emma Cline and loved it!! And my favorite book of last year was Boy Parts by Eliza Clark. I also loved Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk, My Husband by Maud Ventura, and I think about Penance by Eliza Clark almost daily. Anyone have any suggestions if I liked these books?? Huge thank you in advance!

The Lamb by Lucy Rose
Brutes by Dizz Tate
Ordinary Human Feelings by Megan Nolan
Big Swiss by Jen Beagin
Bunny by Mona Awad
Bright Young Women by Jessica Knoll — Technically this was sold as a thriller, but it’s really not. It’s historical literary fiction and a fictionalized account of some of the victims of Ted Bundy. Brilliant and disturbing and infuriating. If you liked The Girls, this should be your cup of tea.
@The Historian” by Elizabeth Kostova.
I really love this genre too!! I’d recommend these books I loved reading:
• Chlorine by Jade Song
• Our Wives Under the Sea by Julia Armfield

• I Who Have Never Known Men by Jacqueline Harpman
• Paradise Rot by Jenny Hval
• The Centre by Ayesha Manazir Siddiqi
• Brutes by Dizz Tate
• Little Rot by Akwaeke Emezi
• What It Means When a Man Falls from the Sky by Lesley Nneka Arimah
• Cursed Bunny by Bora Chung
• Rouge by Mona Awad

Hope you like these dark books and find a new favourite☺️📚🫶🏽
