I’m a huge fan of weird sci-fi with heart — think Black Mirror, Severance, Vonnegut, etc.
So my co-author and I wrote First Person, a satirical novel that deals with grief, corporate burnout, VR addiction… and a 7.5-foot cryptid named Harrison Ford who gives surprisingly good life advice.
It’s British, bleak, funny, and hopefully thoughtful.
We released it last year — and now, weirdly, people are starting to connect with it. It’s free on Kindle until Saturday. First Person, by Mitchell Mechem
If this sounds like your kind of strange would love any thoughts, recs, or just to know we’re not alone in our weird.
