Hey everyone,
I am subjected to bed rest for a week and I want to read a long fantasy/sci-fi/political fantasy or anything supernatural in a different world or like supernatural creatures/magicians/vampires etc in our world.
It could be a series or a solo book or books in same world but could be read solo.
Please suggest me some books.
Brownie points: Something that doesn't take too long to establish the plot/set the world. I am on medications so I don't want to feel drowsy in the beginning haha.

Sword of Kaigen seemingly checks all the boxes here.
The Rook & Rose trilogy by M.A. Carrick
The Daevabad trilogy by S.A. Chakraborty
Discworld by Terry Pratchett is 41 books long. It’s a setting and not one extremely long story, so you don’t have to go on order. I usually recommend Wyrd Sisters, which is a parody of Macbeth from the point of view of the witches, and Guards! Guards! which is a hard boiled detective story, as good places to start.
The individual books are short and funny, which seems like it might be good if you’re going to be medicated.
If you want something older, the Anne McCaffrey Dragonrider series is good! They’re easy enough that you can put them down when you’re drowsy and not lose the plot threads when you pick them back up…
Day of Fallen Night / Priory of the Orange Tree – DOFN is one of my favorite books of all time, each of these is like 1000 pages long
The Witcher – 7 books, all excellent and the show is fab as well
Name of the Wind (my #1 favorite book) and its sequel Wise Man’s Fear – both great
Six of Crows series
If you’re up for a real saga, go look at Brandon Sanderson and may the gods have mercy on your soul.
*A Sorcerer’s Treason* by Sarah Zettel
*Prospero’s Children* by Jan Siegel
Ilona Andrews Innkeeper Chronicles –A magic Inn, space werewolves and vampires, a lot of really unique aliens, mystery, romance, action, a fun and humorous series
