I'm interested in trying out reading as a new hobby, but it feels impossible to know where to start. My only other hobby is playing video games and it's tough to translate what I like in a game to a book. Parts of games like the gameplay, difficulty, art direction, and soundtrack don't apply to books. I don't think there are any books that would make me feel the way I do when I play 3rd Strike, for example, it's just not something they are capable of.

Lol. Well there are parts of books that don’t apply to video games too.

Start with books that have similar stories or genres to your favorite games.

    3. Ready Player One – book about video game nostalgia maybe. But seriously, the way to “get into reading” is to read, that’s all.

Also, maybe audiobooks so you can enjoy a story without the reading?
