Recently, I had to come to the realization that I never have and that I'm never going to experience romantic love in life. I only have myself to blame in this and I guess that's the hardest part to deal with.
As someone whose teenage self dreamt of having a loving partner and someone who's always picked up a book to feel better about life – I guess I just need a book right now.
It's the only thing I've ever known that's helped.

I just read The Midnight Library. Easy read that made me ponder 🙂
You are going to experience romantic love in life. Please don’t internalize that narrative.
The Love Haters by Katherine Center may be healing for you
Murderbot Diaries, and no offense intended, but a good therapist. You’re never too old or damaged to start again.
Dungeon Crawler Carl -> Suggest the audiobook for easy escapism
Yes, this is a litrpg/horror series.
Yes, it is recommended on almost all of these suggest me posts
Yes, it is oddly appropriate as a recommendationMain tagline “You Will Not Break Me.” would definitely apply for you, and there is definitely a therapy/mental health sub current through out. It becomes more obvious as the books go on. Lots of themes of self worth/reliance, and doing the best to do better every day. …and a very friendly fandom around it…though some do use quotes on their dating apps to weed out perspective connections.
Don’t pressure yourself into finding romantic love. it’s overrated. It’s okay to be by yourself. Focus on the love from family and friends. As for that book recommendation, I would recommend The Midnight Library by Matt Haig. It is a contemporary fantasy novel that examines what life would be like if the main character chose different paths in life and made different choices.
