Burnout: The Secret to Unlocking the Stress Cycle, by Emily Nagoski and Amelia Nagoski. Quite literally life-changing.
In the same vein, equally invaluable:
Why Zebras Don’t Get Ulcers, by Robert M. Sapolsky
Beyond Anxiety, by Martha Beck
Gotham by Burrows and Wallace and the Power Broker by Robert Caro
Any Gabor Maté books.
Understanding Power, by Noam Chomsky
Coming of Age in the Milky Way by Timothy Ferris.
*The Myth of Sisyphus* by Albert Camus taught me how to me happy and live a fulfilling life. Seriously. It’s that good.
THE BLACK SWAN by Nicholas Taleb
THE NEW WILD by Fred Pearce
