My mom (45) speaks German, and I'd like to gift her a book, but I'm not a big connoisseur of German/Austrian literature. I'm looking for something with a deep message that's also an enjoyable read and doesn't have much inappropriate content. As far as I know, she doesn't have a favourite genre. I really want to surprise her.
