Finally managed to get my husband into reading. He has recently finished Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, which he absolutely loved and is now looking for his next book.
He is thinking he would enjoy something futuristic involving space / space travel, with an main character(s) exploring / adventuring. Good humor would be a bonus but not necessarily required.
Series recommendations are welcome too.
Thanks in advance.

I loved dark matter
I cannot write this often enough: Project Hail Mary! It has all he’s looking for and a bit more.
Project Hail Mary, Dune, Red Rising, The Expanse
Bobiverse perfectly matches space exploration paired with humor!
Not quite as absurd as Hitchhiker’s Guide, but amazing nevertheless.
If he wants the absurdity, at the expense of skipping space exploration, Dungeon Crawler Carl should be awesome for him too!
Project Hail Mary has already been mentioned, anyone who enjoys Bobiverse will enjoy that too and vice versa 🙂
[The Murderbot Diaries](https://www.goodreads.com/series/191900-the-murderbot-diaries) are fun!
The Jacques McKeown series by Yahtzee Croshaw. An unemployed star pilot tries to get by in a universe where transporters are a thing. The first book in the series is Will save the galaxy for food.
