I have a rough plot figured out for a fantasy book, to the point I think I know how it ends. That said, I'm looking for inspiration on building the world surrounding the plot and characters. I know I'm probably approaching the story writing backwards from what I should be, but the plot idea came to me suddenly, so I want to make a lore to compliment it.
Any ideas for books that would help inspire a dragon fantasy world's lore? Ones I've currently read through include Wings of Fire, The Fourth Wing, Eragon, and The Dragon Prince (the show and Wiki). Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

The Temeraire series by Naomi Novik – an alternative history of the Napoleonic Wars if dragons were able to be utilized in combat. There isn’t really any magic involved, however. The dragons are notably sapient, though humans do not always acknowledge this.
The Dragon Jouster series by Mercedes Lackey – a fantasy based on ancient Egypt. Magic is very much involved. The dragons are more bestial than sapient, based considerably on falcons/birds of prey, with which the author is very well acquainted with as she has worked as a wildlife rehabilitator.

The dragon and the George by Dickson
The dragon heavy parts of The Hobbit might be useful if you are looking to revisit a classic.
