Hey, avid reader here, not really much of a fiction reader though (sometimes). For reference, I like Murakami, but looking for something different. Maybe a mindf*ck, or something really original, not too dramatic, and maybe even funny.
I would highly prefer something released in the last year or two, and not more than 5. Hope this isn't too much of an ask! And thanks

No clue what you mean by deep but there’s lots of compelling pieces of literary fiction that have depth. Solenoid has garnered quite a bit of attention. Jenny Erpenbeck’s Kairos won the 2024 international booker. Demon copperhead by Kingsolver was published in 2022 and won the Pulitzer
