Hi everyone,
I want to read about the rise and fall of Roman empire and familiarise myself with the people involved. I would love to read some historical fiction about this era.The more accurate the better.I am very open to reading a series of books about this.
I have come across The Masters of Rome series with good reviews and historical accuracy. Unfortunately where I live most of the stores don't keep this book or on Amazon it's super expensive.
So any other suggestions?

Getting the rise and fall in one book will be challenging! But for smaller (but still large) fields of view:
**I, Claudius –** Robert Graves. Interesting, gossipy novel about the ruling class of ancient Rome. Lots of fun.
**Augustus** – John Williams (1972). A beautiful and fascinating history of Augustus Caesar, told through letters, by the author of *Stoner*.
