I really like how Gaiman writes fantasy and am open to suggestions to similar writers. My favorite part of Stardust is when Tristan and the small hairy man suddenly find themselves in the serewood. Brilliantly written bit of fantasy in my opinion. Also in Neverwhere I really loved the addendum piece How The Marquis Got His Coat Back. So I am interested in things along those lines, I don't usually read a lot of fiction and am new to fantasy.
I know it is a favorite but I am not interested in The Ocean at the End of the Lane, I tried reading it twice and never got more than halfway through it. I am also aware of the allegations and am uninterested in moral debates about reading his books. Also please don't suggest Piranesi, I also DNF'd this but might finish it in the future.
