Title says it all.
I've become a very avid reader over the last 10-months, reading daily. Mostly what I've been reading has been genre fiction, more specifically fantasy and sci-fi.
I'm looking to branch out so reading doesn't start to feel stale and I can avoid burning out.
Here are some non-fantasy/sci-fi I've read and enjoyed. I'm hoping it's helpful for coming up with recommendations.
1) Emily St John Mandel – Station Eleven, Sea of Tranquility, Glass Hotel
2) Scott Alexander Howard – The Other Valley
3) Susanna Clarke – Piranesi
4) Christopher Buehlman – Between Two Fires (sorta fantasy I guess)
My favorite novels have been from The Realm of the Elderlings by Robin Hobb. So I'm very into bittersweet and meloncholic stories as well.
Looking forward to your suggestions.

If you liked Piranesi, you might want to try The Audacity series. It’s scifi, but it’s weird scifi.
Wouldn’t Piranesi be considered fantasy/scifi? I loved the book though. I’ve always been a sci-fi lover but have expanded into more general fiction. Water for elephants by Sara Gruen is a good one.
