I'm looking for dystopia stories that aren't in the "Read another book, I beg you." category. 1984 and Handmaiden's Tale are the two list toppers for that category. I want ones that aren't talked about constantly and aren't memes unto themselves at this point.

I Cheerfully Refuse: Leif Enger
All the Water in the World: Eiren Caffall.
Boy and His Dog at the End of the World: CA Fletcher
Parable of the Sower: Octavia Butler
Scythe by Neal Shusterman
Brave New World by Aldous Huxley (not sure if this would be on your list or not)
How High We Go in the Dark by Sequoia Nagamatsu is my favorite right now, it’s a dark collection of stories with future realistic situations that are hard to swallow
