I have recently started reading various works of ancient authors such as thoughts of Marcus Aurelius and Brevitate Vitae of Seneca and I have heard of Plato. Do you recommend him? Or do you know of other similar authors or books that you would recommend?

I don’t read a lot of ancient philosophy, but I read Plato’s Republic and found it to be a hell of a lot of fun. It’s just a super interesting chat between a funny old codger who’s too smart for his own good and anyone he bumps into who’s either willing to entertain him or too annoyed by his nonsense to let it go.
