The scientific plausability and humor is what made me love the book, but it was mostly the science plausability. I also like Project Hail Mary from Andy Weir. I myself love creating (or trying to create) scientific plausability in the worlds and stories I make, so the Martian really stood out to me in this aspect. I would love more stories that talk about the plausability, like how aliens wouldn't be able to exist in another's atmosphere unless they literally miracously matched up, they'd have completely different diets, the details! It was great!

Various other fields of study would also be wonderful, like a bit of psychology. The only complaint I have about Hail Mary was the fact that no human would be able to be completely psychologically okay without plants of some sort, but I also understand how it might impact the happy ending otherwise, so can ignore it in this case.

I have already read some of the books in the post like this one asking for recommendations 5 years ago, like We Are Bob. It was alright, but the thing I liked the most was the fact that the feeling of a body was necessary in order for the "robots" or whatever they were to not go insane. I can't really remember much else about the books.

So, anyone got any ideas? Anything I can try?
