The Fairyland series by Catherynne Valente. Which I’m recommending for the third time today! Damn. 🙂 Anyway, it’s about a girl who is invited to Fairyland on the back of the Leopard of Small Breezes. There, she meets, A to L, a wyverary (half wyvern, half library). It continues from there. The first book is called “The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making”. I picked it up because of the title, than stayed for the entire ride because of the story and the language.

It’ll only be out in August (I think?), but I think Katabasis by R. F. Kuang will have elements inspired by Alice in Wonderland! One of the characters is called Alice and some elements on logics are reminiscent of it.
