I have read most of faulkner, all of mccarthy, and these are two of my favourite authors of all time. I love westerns and I love the southern gothic genre so I would take any suggestions. Things I've read include
Butchers crossing,
the sisters brothers,
lonesome dove,
warlock,
buffalo hunter hunter,
only good indians,
jesus son
All of mccarthy, including the plays.
Most of faulkners work, apart from the light in August which I own
2666
Wise blood
And all of william gays stuff. Is there anything in the same calibre as these or have I run this well dry

Cormac McCarthy’s Blood Meridian is arguably THE southern/southwest gothic western.
Perhaps [Vampires of El Norte](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/63892214-vampires-of-el-norte) by Isabel Cañas. Mexico 1840 with American ranchers encroaching on the rancheros. And some very scary creatures.
