I read through a thread in this group already about accurate pirate books and they gave some good suggestions but I need specific ones that would be good for a young teen with ADHD.
Not concerned about the content so much as it not being a "heavy" non-fiction read. We read a lot of the "young readers/young people's adaptations" of non-fiction books that are very easy to understand.
But I haven't found a good in between for pirates, it's either pictures books or early elementary or heavy non-fiction texts. Is there an in-between?
Thanks for any help!

Have you tried [Piratology](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/18009)?
I’ve not read this one but I’ve read others in the Ologies series way back when. They’re a bit like an encyclopaedia but presented as a kind of fictional narrative. Like the Egyptology one is facts about ancient Egypt but told through a collection of notes and diary entries from an archaeologist trying to find an ancient tomb (iirc).
I’m not sure if it’s exactly right for him based on what you’ve said but wanted to mention in case.
