Any books about the rise in the number of Americans who believe in conspiracy theories?

It seems more and more US citizens believe in conspiracy theories like the COVID vaccine is a scam/fake/a ploy to control them.

Have any experts of whatever relevant field written any books about why this is?

I haven’t read this but Under the Eye of Power by Colin Dickey came out this year and it looks interesting – it got quite a lot of press. It looks at how conspiracy theories have shaped American democracy, both in historical context and up to the present I think.
