I'm almost done with The Lies of Locke Lamora, which I'm really into. I've also recently read Warbreaker, which I enjoyed but didn't love, the Stephen King Seasons anthology, which I loved, and the Red Rising series, which I also really liked with the possible exception of the first book (bounced off the YA vibes a little).
I'm open to any genre, but prefer something that isn't super romance-heavy. I'm also open to starting a series on the condition that it's either complete or definitely will be completed soon (I don't want to get GRRM'd).
Maybe I'll let democracy guide my hand and go through your suggestions in descending order of upvotes.
