Currently, I haven’t wanted to read sci-fi or fantasy.
If a book is a well-known classic, it’s likely I’ve read it. If it’s super well-known and often mentioned on reading related subreddits, then that’s probably not what I’m looking for. If I’ve listed the author below, then I’ve likely read their other work.
I’ve had the worst streak of reading one book after another that I didn’t like the last few weeks (it’s been very frustrating) and am looking for something to turn that around.
Don’t think I’d be able to get through something super long. After my most recent read, everything has been frustrating. Also not looking for long generational sagas, and would prefer something more upbeat.
Books/authors I’ve liked I the past:
Kazuo Ishiguro
Jhumpa Lahiri
Willa Cather
E.M. Forster
Himawari House by Harmony Becker
The Reading List by Sara Nisha Adams
James Michener
