Hey fellow readers,
I just wrapped up my exams and finally have time to catch up on reading. I’m really looking to explore more books in the psychological thriller, murder mystery, and horror genres — the darker, more twisted the better. I enjoy stories that are tense, atmospheric, and full of suspense or mind games.
I've already read some of the mainstream/popular ones, so I’d love to discover underrated, lesser-known, or hidden gems — books that might not be on every "Top 10" list but are absolute page-turners.
Some books I’ve liked:
Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn
The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides
Behind Closed Doors by B.A. Paris
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson
Bird Box by Josh Malerman
I'm Thinking of Ending Things by Iain Reid
I’m open to all kinds of authors and even translated works. Bonus points if the ending leaves me speechless.
Drop your dark, twisted recommendations below. Thanks in advance!
