Suggest me a non fiction book about an interesting scientific or supernatural topic.

So im a very new reader, as in ive only read a handful of books outside of studying, im looking for a book that really elevates my knowledge on the subject while also being engaging enough for a rookie reader like me not to procrastinate on reading it, im very interested in topics like, history, archaeology/anthropology and supernatural/eerie topics like real life haunting mysteries (ufos, occult stuff etc). This post seems all over the place lol.
