Just started Reddit and I wanted to see if there are any books that you guys can recommend that are so raw with human emotion and that will get me attached to these characters that I'll be devastated when it's over. I just finished reading one like that, and I stared at the wall for a good three hours bc it was that freaking good, so if you have any suggestions, please let me know! I like contemporary, nonfiction, and lgbt (mostly BLs, but in a creepy, yaoi way please 😭)

The Last Letter – Rebecca Yarros.
Ugh it broke my heart so much.
Anything by TJ Klune tbh. Some of the books do include explicit scenes but they are few and far in between.
Klune just has a way with words that will have you laughing crying and cheering all within 5mins. One of my fave LGBTQ authors.
Wolfsong is more romance focused (gay werewolf pack) but still HEAVY in the found family emotional side
House on the Cerulean Sea is MAJOR found family (gay dads run an orphanage for gifted children)
Lightning Struck Heart is a spoof on your traditional Straight Fairytale knight in shining armor Gay comedy. Again, jokes and plots can be a little explicit if you aren’t into that.
