I enjoy reading books about big engineering/construction projects. Some of my recent reads have covered the Hoover Dam, Brooklyn Bridge, Panama Canal, Transcontinental Railroad, etc.
I’m looking to read about similar projects in other parts of the world. Any recommendations for projects that didn’t involve the United States?

I’m sure you can find books about the Suez Canal and also Thomas Telford who did the Caledonian Canal and more.
Theres a dam in china that actually affects the earths rotation. Its WILD to think about. Its called the three gorges dam. Books available in all the places.
