What books have gotten you out of reading slumps before? I’ve been in a reading slump for most of this year. Hopefully I can leech on to what’s worked for you.
Blood Over Bright Haven! It got me excited to go home and read for the first time in a long time

I read Goosebumps and classics for some while. Eventually, got my momentum back.

Big Swiss by Jen Beagin
The book has a lot of mixed reviews but it’s a funny and weird story that made me read on the subway again. It’s consuming in a light way, and I didn’t obsess over it in anyway other than yearning to know ‘what next?’
The characters are complicated but at face value are very interesting to learn about. It’s got an odd twist here and there but honestly, it feels like I’m reading about real people who are just organically cool. Honestly the official synopsis enough should tell you if you’ll love it or not!

An old ass paperback of Clive Cussler’s Raise The Titanic. Just a great 80’s techno thriller.

Not a slump, exactly, but I had been pretty slow in my reading for a long time. I set myself a project to read a biography of each president. The project has grown tremendously and I’m now a fan of biographies.

None of This Is True by Lisa Jewell. I switched between the audiobook and the paperback, the audiobook was extremely well done!

An Absolutely Remarkable Thing by Hank Green got me reading after one of the worst slumps of my life. It’s a wacky, but thought provoking, exploration into fame in the digital age.

I’ve been in a reading slump for a few years now and have recently started rereading the Harry Potter series a few months ago and it has sparked my love for reading again!

Lately, the books to get me out of my slump have been not so spicy romance novels particularly those ofCatherine Center and Cara Bastone.
