Unbound is a crowdfunding platform a la Kickstarter. Authors can promote their book on Unbound and raise funds through pledges. Unbound has since gone into administration and was somewhat recently taken over by Boundless Publishing Group. According to youtuber and writer Daniel Hardcastle, Boundless Publishing Group is refusing to pay authors the money they're owed by Unbound. To make matters worse, BPG is even selling digital copies of the book and putting them on sale.
I thought it was important to share this, because apparently none of the proceeds of Unbound sold books are going to the authors. So be aware when buying any book published by Unbound, you are likely not supporting the author.
