I rarely read, but not too long ago I read Cormac McCarthy's No Country for Old Men and I really enjoyed it. I now want to try to start reading more and would like some advice.
I would like books which are:
– Rather to-the-point (they can be long, just looking for a book with a concise writing style)
– Somewhat realistic/grounded, this doesn't exclude a book which is dystopian or futuristic or something, just nothing with over-the-top fantasy elements
– Thought-provoking or deep
If it helps at all, a few games/game series' that I like which I feel like could reflect my interests are things like Spec Ops: The Line, Fallout, STALKER, Max Payne 3, and Metal Gear Solid.
