Hi all, I’ve always been a pretty big reader but over the past few years (and thanks to Reddit) I’ve started reading a lot of new authors that I’ve really enjoyed. Maybe a dumb question, but how do you keep yourself informed on when authors release new books? Feel like there has gotta be a better way than just googling them periodically.
Appreciate any advice!

I follow some I like on instagram but others I just like getting a nice suprise when I look at new releases.
I use Goodreads and follow authors I like. Not all authors are on there and some people seem to dislike Goodreads. Not sure why. I find lots of new, to me, authors there, based on recommendations from people I’ve friended, followed, lists made by others, etc.
For that purpose Goodreads is pretty good. You can subscribe to authors you like and you can get notifications if they post about stuff.
Instagram and StoryGraph.
I go to the author’s website and see if they have a way sign up for email updates. If not I just check their website once a month or something like that. Back when I had a Twitter account I would follow them on there, but I don’t like tons of app notifications and trying to parse what is actually important becomes overwhelming so that eventually it’s just noise. Most authors don’t spam your email, and it is a much more tailored experience.
