I was wondering what are your favourite universes that you’ve read from a book or comic? Which universe to you stood out. Which one was the most impressive and detailed and has the best world building you’ve ever encountered. Which universe did you find was the most interconnected and rich to read? What universes do you find yourself most invested in and consume the most? I’m curious to know your answers.

Discworld, The Culture (Ian M Banks), Known Space (Niven) or Pern (TBH any of the larger McCaffery settings). The settings/universes I get most invested in are the ones I’m work on on/off for my own fiction.
The Davinci Code.
I like the chrestomanci series of Diana Wynne Jones.
I’m not usually one to re-read things, with maybe the rate exception like re-reading harry potter or the occasional standalone book (circe).
But after a dozen different fantasy series I think I would rate Red Rising as my favourite series. Hits the right spot for fantasy/fiction hero story with Incredible plot twists and a universe that keeps surprising me and materializing itself in my mind.
ASOIAF no doubt I’m going insane re-reading it after 10yrs.
EDIT–when I went to answer, for some reason I thought this was only asking about universes in graphic works. Ahh well, I’ll just leave my answer to that up…
My favorite single-volume one would be the graphic novel adaptation of Kurt Vonnegut’s Slaughterhouse-Five, put out in 2023. I was seriously impressed how much detail from the book they got into it, how closely in spirit it felt to the source material, but also how clearly it presented the story.
My favorite series is The Horizon by JH (Jung Ji Hun), which was originally a webtoon, but was eventually published in three physical volumes and that’s how I read it. It’s a post-apocalyptic tale that mostly follows two children trying to navigate the hellish world they find themselves in.
