looking for some books with heavy homoerotic subtext between two male characters in the book, while not having the book be that of a romance. examples i can think of currently would be Vicious by V.E. Schwab and The Secret History by Donna Tartt.
bonus points if they fucking hate each other but there’s still the tension™️ between them

Ann Rice’s vampire series (Interview w/ a Vampire…) comes to mind. But it does mostly center around the relationship(s). Definitely a m/m subtext. Subtle in homoeroticism.
