I'm not a great fan of the hunger games (I've never read it), but I was gifted the book stated above for Christmas. And I'm just wondering if it's worth reading or not? And if you don't believe so, maybe you all can give me some recs for my taste!
The books I read: I enjoyed A Good Girls Guide to Murder, and I liked the Shatter Me series. I'm a fan of Greek mythology, and I just finished the Twilight series!

If you aren’t a great fan, I’d say not to read it. Especially if you don’t want to read a book about Snow when he was young and how he came to despise District 12. It’s a long book, and it will feel longer if you don’t love the world or want to learn about how Snow became the person he was
I think honestly the best way to read it would be Ballad of Songbird and Snakes, Sunrise on the Reaping and then end off with the Hunger Games trilogy. Personally I think it’s beautiful and heartbreaking all at the same time, but the one you were gifted has the heaviest romance aspect. It happens to be the first canonically.
If you want other things along those lines though – I recommend the Uglies series by Scott Westerson, Percy Jackson novels (there’s enough there to keep you busy between the greek and Norse myths) Vampire Academy if you liked Twilight.
Happy reading and let me know if you have any questions! I remember diving into reading after Twilight as a younger bitey (my nickname comes from twilight actually)
Ps when you’re ready for something a bit heavier Fourth Wing and ACOTAR are good places to start.
