Hi everyone! I've been trying to read more long (I'd say like 450+ pages give or take) books this year and I've found a few favorites so far! (the royal family by vollman, septology by fosse, liveship traders trilogy by robin hobb, and the unconsoled by ishiguro so far this year)
I feel like it's really hard to find longer books by women for whatever reason. Some longer books by women I've enjoyed in the past include Breasts and Eggs by Mieko Kawakami, the complete stories by lispector, the secret history, jonathan strange & mr norrell, the priory of the orange tree, and the books of jacob by olga tocarczuk.
I'm more or less open to any genre, but I generally prefer a bit of a literary bend when possible and would also prefer if it's by an author not mentioned in this post. Please don't recommend Barbara Kingsolver as I personally couldn't get into Demon Copperhead or RF Kuang because I was very lukewarm on Babel lol
Thanks!!! 🙂
