I know everyone has their opinions on what type of print they like their books to be (paperback, hardcover or digital), and i was wondering what everyone prefers to read?
Personally i hate reading paperback books, they frustrate me and i dont enjoy it, partially for sensory reasons, the cover feels weird, and with hardcover it feels different, so i like it more. I also like that hardcover books stay closed better than paperback.
This was just a kinda random question that i had and wanted to see what other people prefer. it came up because i got a book from amazon and didnt realize it was ordered paperback, though i wont complain, since i still really want to read the book.

Honestly? I don’t mind. Both formats are fine to me. However, I tend to prefer paperback because they’re usually cheaper and I’m poor as shit.
Paperback; hate the ones with the film covers, or have a circle advertising the film. Basically advertisements in general on the book I find disgusting.
I have ‘replaced’ what I would formerly buy in paperback with digital.
I still buy hardbacks which I consider long-term ‘keepers’ – but am at the point where I have to find a way to *make room* for any new books – so am very selective!
I don’t like reading hardcovers generally, and I’ll always try to buy paperback unless I’m absolutely desperate to read something and don’t want to wait. I find the dust jackets on paperbacks tend to tear or wrinkle easily and it bothers me. Also, my favourite way to read is curled up in bed and since most hardbacks are bigger, I just find them a bit unwieldy.
