For pride month I want to highlight books where the protagonist(s) are some flavour of LGBT, but their identity isn't the main subject of the story.

My personal favorite example of this would be Iron Council by China Mieville, where the protagonists are gay and bisexual and the story isn't about their sexuality. Yes, it has tragic queer romance, which could not be satisfactorily replaced with a straight romance, and the character's sexualities do inform their actions, but the book is about how insurrections, revolutions and utopias are born and die, and identity and romance are not the focus of the story.

Let's make a list of books where being LGBT is just another facet of the characters, not the most important thing about them but also not glossed over, like in real life.
