Hello, looking for something new to read. I watched Thunderbolts recently and was reminded how much I liked the anti-heroes forced to work together till they actually begin to care trope. I'm looking for a book or book series with this. I'm open to suggestions but I know a few character types I like in this genre. Forgive the simple descriptions.

The Fish Out Of Water: Someone who finds themselves in the midst of killers and powerful figures while themselves being (or at least appearing) to be weak, useless, and someone who won't last. In Thunderbolts Bob took this role, but another example I liked was Rock from Black Lagoon.

The Deadly Girl: Usually the co-protagonist, someone who is typically the most action heavy character in the story, and is used to foil the fish out of water, but forms a complicated relationship with them. Yelena took this role in Thunderbolts, but to go back to Black Lagoon, this was Revy's character.

The Wildcard: The Han Solo role, someone undeniably charming and competent but untrustworthy and dangerous. No one from Thunderbolts fit this role perfectly, but as mentioned, its Han Solo inspired.

The Dickhead: The punching bag of the group, someone disliked and particularly morally dubious, but also needed for conflict and specific tasks. Walker was perfect for this in Thunderbolts.

The Elder: Usually used as the leader of the group, someone in control and power, but also somewhat distant from their teammates, holding secrets and plans. Bucky in Thunderbolts, but also someone like Prof in the reckoners book series by Brandon Sanderson.

From there, secondary characters come into play like Ghost and Alexei, and their roles can change depending on the story.

If there are any books or book series that fit most of those character types, please tell me.

    Thank you,
